Speak Your Mind

Therapeutic Friendship Programs

Flyer for a kids' social crafting group meeting Fridays at 1 PM.

WHO:   students ages 4-6

WHAT:    A little bit of crafting, a whole lot of connection

In this small, supportive group, students engage in crafting, collaboration, and creation on ONE project!

We’re helping to foster communication support for children by building essential skills for friendships, including: starting conversations, brainstorming and explaining ideas, executing a plan, and considering the feelings and thoughts of others.

It’s playful, creative, and gently guided—ensuring it never feels like “therapy,” while promoting real growth in social skills development.

WHERE:  Speak Your Mind

WHEN:  Friday afternoons this Fall!

Kids in the Kitchen program promotes communication and life skills through cooking.

WHO:  students in grades 2-4.

WHAT:    A little bit of cooking, a whole lot of connection

In this small, supportive group, students create snacks and collaborate on ONE project while benefiting from communication support for children.

We’re building the kind of skills that matter most for friendships and social skills development:

starting conversations

brainstorming and explaining ideas

executing and following a plan

vocabulary development:  learn new vocabulary related to measurement, temporal concepts, and cooking.

It’s playful, creative, and gently guided—so it never feels like “therapy,” but the growth is real.

WHERE:  Speak Your Mind

WHEN:  Tuesday evenings this fall!
