Groups - FALL 2024

You asked for it - we are listening!

This Fall, we will be offering MORE groups for our present clients at SYM.

Groups will be running NOV-DEC on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school.

We understand the importance of pairing children based on their skill set and ability to connect with each other. We do not run groups similar to camps where children of varying levels can sign up. We really try to pair our students so that they can make authentic connections and friendships.

Supporting Spectacular Girls

Supporting Spectacular Girls: a group that supports neurodiverse girls ages 9-12, who want to connect and share stories, explore their interests and learn about self advocacy.

The Executives

The Executives: Does your child need support planning activities, following along in play, collaborating with peers? This group will employ strategies for executive functioning, helping children plan, connect and collaborate to achieve a fun project assigned.

ALL GIRLS GROUP: Tuesdays at 5:15pm beginning November 5, 2024

Ages: 7-10

LET'S SPARKLE! During our 8 weeks together we will plan a party for the last day together. From invitations to decorations, we will create as a group, plan, problem solve and learn executive functioning tools to get our job done! We will also role play and practice some social scenarios to give us confidence during our party! A Parent Education session is also scheduled to help parents implement our tools at home to help with tasks such as "packing a backpack, packing a lunch, cleaning one's room, daily routines/chores, and dinner time conversation"

Cost: $650 per 8 weeks

Land of Stories

The Land of Stories: come explore stories and begin to wonder about the characters plans and motives. Develop your imagination and working memory to visualize short stories and boost language comprehension This group is geared for children 5-8 to help build perspective taking skills.
