Speak Your Mind

Klarissa Cluett Therapy

Klarissa Cluett

Klarissa studied at the University of Guelph, where she earned her BASc (Bachelor of Applied Science) degree in 2018. She then completed her graduate certificate at Georgian College to become a Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA) in 2019. Throughout this program, she gained valuable experience through her placements at the Harmonize for Speech, Hearing and Language clinic, as well as Speak Your Mind, Speech and Language Services, where she focused on providing communication support to clients.

Before starting her career at Speak Your Mind, Klarissa worked as a lifeguard for the city of Kitchener for almost a decade. This experience allowed her to nurture her passion for teaching and helping children reach their goals. Through years of volunteering, Klarissa discovered her dream of becoming a CDA, which she pursued immediately after graduating in 2019. She began her professional journey at the Childhood Apraxia and Speech Therapy Centre, committed to enhancing the lives of children through specialized speech therapy.

Klarissa is a strong advocate for the neurodiversity movement and has recently completed training in Gestalt Language Processing. She is dedicated to helping learners utilize their toolbox of communication tools to connect meaningfully with others.

In her free time, Klarissa enjoys relaxing at the cottage and spending time with family and friends. Recently married, she also loves training their puppy, Remy.
